Meadowmill Tower, a small outpost among the prairie lands.... Although the taxes paid for this building was enough to highly anger the citizens of Meadowmill, so far no crime has been practiced. Ironic.
About this creation
The entirety of the castle.
I like shots like these, just at the right angle, that display the full creation. Don't ask me why, but they really capture the whole scene perfectly.
The roof, which I pride myself on for the decent design.
Some scenery outside of the walls or the tower.
A shot of one of the ponds, with the bridge to the door arching over the middle.
A bit of scenery inside the walls.
The garden, growing morning glory (blue), carrots (stalks), and one row of grapes. (On the fence.)
Another shot of the garden.
A good idea I had, which is the pride of the castle: the stain-glass window. The object blocking out the window is the pedestal, which can not really be seen clearly since the camera was blocking the light through the door.
Oh, and of course: How could I forget the outside view of the stain-glass window. Not as good as the indoor view, though....
I noticed that it seems that the tower should be larger, as other aspects are too distracting. As I don't have a vast lot of Castle pieces like the ones here, I could only make the tower as high as it is here.... And therefore I realize that the townspeople are going to have their taxes raised again.... It's time for an addition to the tower. ;) (Although I'm not actually going to change it; it's already gone.)
It needs.....more. It feels cold and lifeless, maybe some action would help. There are certainly many nice elements, and your photography is very well done, but not enough to score more than a two (2) points in this category. Lee.
The choices we make as builders mean everything. You chose to place a tower in the middle of the baseplate; this automatically makes the tower the focus. The river was a nice touch and it didn't draw too much attention away from the tower. But then you seemed to over build the scenery around the tower in the garden. Some of the elements just don't fit or seem misplaced. A very nice effort, but I would like to see the emphasis placed more on the castle part of the build. 2 points from me.
Nice. I'm not very happy when I have to rate low a MOC that shows an actual effort, but alas this is the case :( The tower is well built and nicely detailed on the exterior, however (uh-oh!) the lanscaping around it has a tendency to "steal the scene". It wouldn't be much of a problem, but some of the garden's elements are way more "naive" than the central build, almost like they were made by a less skillful MOCer. The garden's walls could have used some tiling, the veggy patch is a bit too geometrically even, and the well is... well... I can't say here what it is. Still, the tower's nice front and the stain-glass window grant you 2 points, so you didn't really wasted your time in the end. Keep it up!
