This is my entry in the landscaping category for the 2010 MOCAthalon. The scene depicted is in the muddle of a swampy area on the edge of a battlefield from long ago. The area is muddy with small islands and strange foliage growing alongside ordinary bushes, and trees. The only way across the swamp, as learned by the tank crew who tried to ford the swamp found out by the loss of their tank, is to hop from island-to-island, and hope you don't fall. If you do fall, then you are a dead man sinking.
About this creation

The tank's turret is my juxtaposition, and is all that shows of the once proud vehicle.

Many strange plants grow in this swamp.

Many strange plants grow in this swamp, such as the greenicus Headicus bush

It was a great idea, but the tank really needed to be buried, and more dirt needed to be effected. 2 points.

Even though I see you state this happened long ago, I have to agree that it would have been nice to see the tank crew trying to escape. The turret does look like it has just been plopped there without really giving the viewer the idea that it has sunk. Nice build and clean pics. Two (2) points. Lee.

A bit basic, but still more than my own attempts. 2 points :)

Quoting Keith Goldman Score of 2. I love the concept and your backstory but if you're going to depict a buried tank, you should really bury it. As you have it, it looks like the turret is simply sitting on top of the dirt. The line between exposed and buried is too simple and straighforward. Also, a minifig jumping or pole-vaulting would have spiced it up a bit, since you talk about it.
thanks for the input. i couldnt figure out how to fill that gap though.
