Canary Islands Spain Jumbo Jet Collision - March 27, 1977
On March 27, 1977, a PAM AM 747 and a KLM 747 collided at the Los Rodeos Aiport in Tenerife, Canary Islands. 583 people were killed in the World's Worst Aviation Disaster.
About this creation

   2) Capt. Victor Grubbs of the Pan Am jet stared in horror down the runway and saw the huge KLM jet bearing down on them at full speed. "GET OFF GET OFF! WE'RE STILL ON THE RUNWAY!! HE'LL KILL US ALL!!!" he screamed into the radio...

   1) The two jumbo jets, a Royal Dutch Airways KLM jet and a PAN AM jet from Los Angeles and NY headed down toward each other in the fog, the KLM started its takeoff roll and its engines started to go at full power...

   6) The KLM 747 full of fuel, slams down on the runway, spins around backwards and skids...

   5) ...and explodes into a huge fireball, none survive.

   3) Dutch pilot Jacob Veldhuyzen Van Zanten attempts to take off and "leap frog" over the Pan Am jet in front of it, the cockpit clears it but the undercarriage, landing gear and fuselage strikes the Pan Am jet at midsection.

   4) The Pan Am jet is demolished from the cockpit on back, killing almost everyone in the rear and sparing some in first class, including the pilot and co pilots.

   3) KLM bears down on the Pan Am (white)jet taxiing down the same runway.The American jetliner veers hard left to avoid head on collision

   7) 583 persons died that fateful day in Tenerife, making it the worst aviation disaster to this day.

I remember watching this on Air crash investigations , i felt so sad watching it, it was a horrible crash , mainly because the small airport didnt have hi-tech radios and only one runwat, the klm didnt hear the control tower speaking through the radio, they didnt here b'coz when two or more people at that airport try to speak on the radio it just generates static and cuts out, you re-creatoing this made me feel bad inside. :'(
