well, 3 and a half hours and alot of design changes...
my mustang 65' is complete!!
its a 10 wide (10x29) with additional custom parts added to it by myself, i.e opening door(s), flip up hood, opening boot, steering system, detailed V8 engine (Darknight style),wing mirrors and finally a custom hood and color scheme.
this is my second 10 wide attempt and first mustang attempt.
i'd really appreciate constructional comments to help me improve it :D
i chose to build the mustang fastback 65' because i recently watched a program about one (wrecks to riches) and i decided i'd build one for myself.... so yeah
but what i found that was really hard was the shape of the car and the steering system.
the steering system: is from some old technic set back in the 90's and it basically moves the wheels from left to right and sit just behind the engine and the wheel arches completely cover the technic parts =)
A considerable amount of design changes and functional ideas changes were also made.
before i began to think about taking pictures, i found the overall shape didn't look quite right as the rear of the car was kinda short and waaay too bulky... so that took some time to sort out :/
along with all that came the crucial windshield/screen positioning which i must say.. "puzzled me greatly"
In fact it wasn't even going to be a mustang when i was first designing it!
the engine: so yeah its a V8 supercharged custom built Darknight style engine (phew that was a mouthful).
pumping out 940 BP (brick power: 100 Horsepower = 140 brickpower )
top speed: 163 mph / 262 kph/kmh
(to find out horse power to brick power you add x2 and subtract 60
E.G: 450 hp = 940)
Right, here's the comment I promised you: I think the rear is still too bulky, and you shouldn't have the overhang over the front lights so long. You should also extend the doors right down to the bottom of the car, and make the boot open the right way, but if the these are parts limitations, I understand. 4/5
