Instructions for a turret

This is mainly an entry for the school of moc. It is to help with the building of turrets/cannons and other such stuffage. You can give some of the credit to matthew novosad for the rims of the turret. I used this on my AA transport truck and I decided to make instructions. So here they are.
About this creation

This is a side view of the turret, and I am not going to include instructions for the base, partly because I am lazy and partly because this is mainly for the turret itself.

Here is all the pieces that you will need. The only special special piece in there is the black brick with two studs on three sides of the brick. This is how the turret pivots and how the turret is held together.

First attach the two 1 studed circle bricks on each side of the black brick. Then attach the two tire rim things to each side of the lengthened black brick. Again, many thanks to Matthew Novosad. Set this aside for the moment.

Now for the armor on the sides. Take the SNOT converter thing and attach a 4x2 stud plate. Then add the circle plate and the two grated pieces and attach them like this. When building your own turret, I find it helps to be creative. Do this two times.

Now, attach the two armor pieces to any side of the rims. Once this is done, cover the studs with a 2x2 plate. Kinda looks like a bathtub. Anyway, set this aside for the moment.

Now place the the two 2x2 plates on top of each other like this.

Now add the two cones and the fire hydrant nozzles on top of the two plates. The fire hydrant nozzles will serve as handles. Set this aside too, for now.

Place the cannon on top of the two 1 studded plates. Then for the details, add the grille plate on the top of the cannon, and a mini-figure hand at the end of the cannon.

After that is done, attach the finished cannon piece to the handle piece. It is a little top heavy for now, but when we get to the next step, it will right up again.

Now attach the bottom of the 2x2 plates of the cannon piece to the top of the special black brick. Make sure that you do not attach with the middle of the 2x2's, but at the end so that the mini-figure will be able to fit inside.

And here we are, with our finished piece. Remember that this can serve as a model for your turret, and remember to be creative. Many small, odd parts can add effect to the turret. This is a pretty basic turret, although you can see that I cover up most of the studs. I do not like lego studs on top, so I try to cover them as much as possible. But you may have a different style so again, like I said, BE CREATIVE!!!
