I got this Creator set for Easter and tried out all the instructions inside and was quite happy to handle some bricks again after so many years :) When I had finished the formula style race car I was very unhappy with it. A formula car and no spoilers? I started modifying it and after that I wanted to create something completely myself. This is what came out of it :)
I started with the bottom of the model and I wanted it wide and rather short.
I rather liked the concept of the hood of the original speeder and kept the design and also copied the doors. The bumpers are in principle the same as in the original but modified.
The two seats I added last and also redesigned the controls with the parts I had left.
I changed the rearview of the model several times. One version had a spoiler and an open back window like the original speeder. Finally I came to this solution. Almost a Pickup :)
I decided to upload this build because there seem quite few alternatives of this set. I found a bunny barrow and a retro car so far. Maybe there'll be more around some day because I think its a great set :)

Surely a stable car with a track as wide as this one has.
Yes Dave, thats what I wanted it to have :) A driving machine with good handling like a Lotus Elise or something like that.
Thanks for commenting! Nevertheless I hope to come up with some alternatives that are completely different from original intention of this set. Something like your canary ;)
Surely a stable car with a track as wide as this one has. What you've shown us here is that you can take things that you like about a design and incorporate them into your own creation to make it your own thing. You know, that is a lot about what the official models are supposed to do. We are supposed to learn something from them and then use them creatively in our own designs.
