The Lambda Class was a common transport used both by the Empire and the Rebellion. This was the ship used by Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia to get to Endor to destroy the shield generators of the second Death Star.
About this creation
Like nearly all of my Lego models, I wasn't really satisfied to leave it as is, so I made some changes to the standard version.

I modified the cockpit to allow passage back into the passenger compartment.

A view of the boarding ramp extended. This is were the entrance should be, not sliding a ramp out of the back. :)

The landing gear retract when in flight replacing the fixed landing gear of the standard model.

I modified the vertical wing to fold back to allow access to the main passenger cabin. It is hinged at the rear of the ship.

The top of the ship flips up to the side giving access to the main cabin. It features to forward facing seats and two side facing seats for the Imperial Guards.

At the rear of the cabin is the throne of the Emperor.

This is an updated photo showing that I finally got around to making the cockpit a two seater.

The pilots seated and ready to ferry their Emperor were ever he needs to go to carry out his dastardly deeds.
