For the 2010 mech contest, in the category of steampunk.
After seeing Moodswim's steampunk entry i knew i had to step it up a notch. It's his first steampunk moc and he's already making me look bad :) Take a look at it if you haven't seen it (link below). Anyway, i've been extremely busy with work lately so this just might be my last entry (Okay you can stop celebrating now). Enjoy!
You are the absolute MASTER of greebles..Seriously, the way you do it just blows my mind. I really like the legs, creative shape and proportions, you have some of the best steampunk creations out there, I mean it.
Man, a new category for the MOCie awards should be announced only for you, the greeble-master! I've never seen so much pooled greebling on a Lego creation. You've really stepped it up a notch, amazing work!
Can we have more greebles? (reminiscent of the SNL skit "Behind The Music: Blue Oyster Cult", i.e., "more cowbells" http://snltranscripts.jt.org/99/99pcowbell.phtml) LOL! It looks like the stand is stuck up its a--... nevermind ... Another fantastic build! The greeblies is a nice feast for the eyes! I do not find it distracting at all. If anything, it give a good texture to the 'skin' of the mech! Great build!
A bit over greebled for my taste, and the fact it is missing legs and can not stand up on its own hurt your score. However, the sheer effort of the build and the fact that it looks exactly like what a steampunk machine should look like helped you. Final score = 4 points.
Wow that is alot of grebling 0_o this isnt a spider, spiders have 8 legs, this has 4 :o

I think you may have outdone yourself this time, Jason. The MOC itself is incredible, insanely so. The time and effort, not to mention the coordination, it must have taken to build all those greebles is astounding. But I think this is too much. The greebles are just so overwhelming that it doesn't really retain its aesthetic appeal. That said, I love the concept and the actual build, just lighten up on the greebles next time. 4/5. Keep on brickin'!

Unbelievable! Can one have just so much greebling?
It's both beautiful and frightening- very spiderlike! I would have loved to see 8 legs on it. So you know, I replied to your comment on my Transformer, telling everyone the busyness you apply to all your projects (like this one!) has inspired me to do even more on mine, so, thanks.
