P-1 "Medvéd’" battle armour
Seems the special forces found something very interesting in Central Germany. Being Russians, they took it home with them.
About this creation
That's the fun thing about other people losing wars, they tend to make superweapons and then bury them when they've lost.

So you just come along ten/twenty/fifty/a hundred years later and dig 'em up again.

Them Germans could really build things to last.

Now, this particular gadget is a B.E.A.R. battle armour based on a Nazi German combat suit known as the Kleinpanzer. The Kleinpanzer never really saw action because of a number of reasons, worst of them being that the armour was weak and there were two engine options; a loud, but efficient and economical petroleum engine using special fuel, and a silent but rather dangerous battery system.

The spec ops brought back the battery type just to be safe, and it got upgraded after arriving in Greater Alenia.

To start with, the 20mm autocannon on the left shoulder was fitted.
The St. Petersburg Declaration makes exploding bullets under a certain size illegal, but cannons are legal. So; we have a cannon.

The machinegun being held in the right hand is a special case, it's actually bolted to the underarm. Works good, though.

The shoulder plate was added because, well, seemed like a good idea. The enclosed suit was a natural evolution; the original was open, which wasn't a very good idea.
If it'd been used on the Eastern Front, the crews would've frozen to death.

Being Russkies, it got fixed. The large boot assemblies were removed, as battery technology has improved a heckuvalot in the last century. Armour; well, this baby can survive taking a couple of direct hits from explosive anti-personnell rounds up to 35mm. Small arms just bounces off.

All in all, I think we've just taken most of the risk out of building clearance operations.

Oh, and "Medvéd’" is Rooski for "Bear".

Currently, there's a squad of these things currently in existance. Mass production is being started in a couple of unused underground factories somewhere in Alenia right now, so I do believe the Arabs will have a hard time cutting them off at the source.

Did I mention they're fitted with life support systems capable of providing breathable air for up to a week?

If you actually get around to sending in ground troops, you'd better bring a lot of metal detectors. And rocket launchers. Otherwise, your rear echelon troops would hypothetically be more doomed than a rabbit with a gimpy leg sleeping in a bear cave.

Quoting Ultramarine . Nice going! Pretty sweet vig, nice effects. That 20mm has a pretty short barrel, how's its firing rate? Keep it going -Ultra.
Oh, it's adjustable, depending on the situation and the amount of bracing available. It's actually more of a grenade launcher.

Cool. But, how fast can it run/walk?

Quoting Brendan Dore Cool. But, how fast can it run/walk?
Ah, the question is not how fast it can run, the question is how long. Pretty fast, pretty far, actually. Very dangerous over short distances.

"Rabbit with a gimpy leg in a bear cave." Hmm... I'll remember that one for those 'as bad as' or, 'more screwed than' moments. Anyway, nice little design, and nice parts usage here.

Quoting Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great What about food?
Well, the idea is that when used for guerilla operations they'll be buried in a little ice cave thing hollowed out, normally in some trees. Plenty of room in a properly constructed ice cave for supplies. And a little extra room inside for equipment. Usually means downgrading the secondary from a carbine to a pistol, but that's to be expected.
