Since I last uploaded pictures of my LEGO room the collection has grown quite a lot (from about 10 000 pieces to over 45 000 pieces.
I have sorted and resorted my pieces several times, taking some inspiration from this site and others and looking at other people's collections and how they would sort them. The product is not yet final, I have had some thoughts of further sorting some of the pieces like plates, tiles and slopes.
So please sit back and enjoy looking at my modest collection!!!
First is a display shelf for assembled models or MOC's I can't get around to taking apart or am forbidden by my girlfriend (i.e. Toy story sets!!!)You can see 3 of my ships on top the shelf, the second shelf is the Star Wars shelf, third is Castle / Toy Story, fourth is helicopters, fifth is vehicles and last is two sets and fire apparatus.
Then we have the second shelf / what used to be a desk!
On the very top we have several sterilite drawers full of canopies, hulls, boat parts, baseplates and a whole lot of minifigs. The desktop is occupied by my biggest set to date, the carousel as well as my imperial army WIP roughly 150 strong.
The above and next picture are of a WIP frigate, 82 guns and over 2500 pieces.
CANONS!!!!! and my pirate army (60 ish)
Under construction!!! This is where I have all my construction sets assembled as well as 2 construction MOCs.
Loads of empty boxes ... why do I even keep these.... bah ....
The preceding and following pictures are of trays my dad bought and he gave me a few, these were molded for some project and were not to spec for them. They then sold a whole bunch to my dad for dirt cheap and I used 3 to put my old white, light gray and black. They are super useful because of how they are divided.
On my table I have these 5 bins, lower most is large Technic pieces, then we have vegetation followed by green (green, Dk green and neon green all in same bin) and finally 2 bins of Bionicle pieces.
The table top itself, at this moment I am working on 3 WIPs so there's a lot on the table! You can see a sloop of war WIP .. and a beer ... oups!!
Then we have the 2 parts organizer which are full of hinges, tiles, trans pieces, windows, poles, bars, printed pieces etc. These I find to be most useful for smaller pieces as they are always at your disposal with little or no searching required!!
These sterilite bins are awesome for storing parts in large quantities like red, blue or yellow bricks. I also use some for LURPs, BURPs and castle or large pieces.
I have 3 smaller organizers for my minifigs and all their stuff
The first one has all "body parts", leg assemblies, torso assemblies as well as heads
The second one is used for all that can be "worn" hats, hair, capes, life jackets, epaulets, etc
The last of the 3 boxes has all that can be held swords, guns, cameras, etc..
Last but not least, a quick shot of my table where you can see what I'm working with, you can also notice the drawers I was talking about earlier.
