Legendary U.R.S. vs F.I.S. war series: Part 7: Charges
This is part 7 of my U.R.S. vs F.I.S. war series. This episode should have been out last Friday but something prevented me from having the time to post it. So here it is now. Please comment, rate and enjoy!
About this creation

A short amount of time and a lot of sneaking later, Blast stood with his back to the wall at the corner of a corridor. He put his head round the side and looked down next corridor. All clear. He looked back at the squad and signaled them to follow him.

He turned and rounded the corner but in the time it had taken him to signal to the troops, two FIS soldiers had come into the corridor.
“Look! It’s the U.R.S.!” one of them shouted and pointed at them.
“Sound the alarm!” the other said but neither got a chance to, as two silenced bullets flew into them from Blast’s pistols and killed them.

“Hide the bodies.” R.K. said to Jelli and Hess and the two dragged the bodies into a nearby store cupboard and closed the door.

“Right lets go.” He said and they moved off again. A little way along Blast stopped and said,
“If I remember rightly, then we just need to turn left and then it’s the first door on that side. Are we all ready?” he stepped out into the middle of the corridor and looked back along the line of waiting troops who all nodded.

“Good. Good luck everyone.” He moved back into his place at the front of the line and then led them off round the final left corner, guns ready in case they came across any more patrols.

Luckily they didn’t and there on their left was a door marked “Authorized personal only.” With a faint whirring sound coming from within.
“Um, sir. Are we classed as authorized personal?” Zak asked.
“We are now.” R.K. replied and pressed the open button on the door. The doors swooshed open and the whirring suddenly became intensely loud as the squad moved in.

“Hey you!” a young F.I.S. officer ran up to them. “Who are you? Where’s your authorization?”
“I think we got ourselves a shiny, lads!” Blast joked and the troops laughed but the officer aimed his gun at Blast.

“I mean it! Where’s your authorization? And, what’s a shiny?” he asked.
“A shiny is a new-boy in the business. You haven’t been with the F.I.S. long have you lad?” Blast replied.
“N..n… no sir.” The officer said lowering his gun marginally then realizing what he had done raised it again. “I’ll give you one last chance. Where is your authorization?”

A shot rang out and the officer dropped dead. Blast looked behind him at Padfoot who blew the smoke from the end of his gun and lowered it.
“Really Padfoot, what was that in aid of?” Blast said smirking slightly.
“He was wasting our time. We don’t really want to be caught in here do we?”
“No. Lets get a move on. Spread out and set the charges.” R.K. replied and they all moved off around the room.

They were in the generator room. It was here that the two huge combustors lay, changing the liquid Tobanna that was stored in containers around the room into heat energy to heat the base. Liquid Tobanna was highly flammable and prone to explode at the slightest hint of a flame. That’s what made it perfect for a heating system but also made it highly dangerous.
Blast reached up and stuck another charge to the roof, then twisted it and set it in time with all the others.
Once all of the charges had been set, Blast pressed a button on his wrist and a small red light started flashing slowly on each of them.

“There. We have ten minutes until they go off. So I suggest we get a move on a get out of here.” Blast said.

“Agreed!” Padfoot smiled under his helmet and they opened the door and went back out into the corridor. It was still deserted.
“Is it just me or does it seem to be to quiet” Vasilious asked.

“Hm… Your right. I noticed on the way here that the corridors seemed to be oddly inactive.” Blast replied. “Oh well they’ll be even more quiet once those charges have gone off.” Jelli put in.
“Oh! Good point Jelli!” R.K. laughed. “Lets go.
