About this creation

They moved away down the corridor and round another corner to the right but then up ahead of them at the end of this corridor was the edge of what appeared to be a huge hall. The corridor was full of boxes and crates and a few meters back from the end was another corridor leading off to the left.
Blast lead the squad along as quietly as possible, sticking to the right-hand wall as much as possible but moving out around the crates when they had to until they got to the end. They stopped and Blast put his head around the corner and looked into the hall. He instantly withdrew again and looked at his men.

“It’s full of soldiers!” He whispered to them. “Hundreds of them!”

And so it was.

They had come to the enormous entrance hall and it was full of F.I.S. soldiers and troops of all ranks, lined up and in formation. The room was approximately ninety meters long and forty-five meters wide. There were other passageways and corridors leading into it all the way around and there, almost directly opposite the squad, was where they needed to be; the exit tunnel. The exit tunnel was completely made of ice and had no doors at either end. It just lead straight out into the snowy landscape of Hoth and was the main entrance in and out of the base.

“That’s our way out.” Blast mumbled.
“Yeah, but how the hell do we get there? Just waltz across there and hope nobody sees us?” Forrel asked sarcastically. “Or do you have some brilliant plan in that great mind of yours?”
“Why thank you Forrel, you’re so kind.” Blast replied just as sarcastically and Forrel’s lip twitched in annoyance. “As a matter of fact, I do have a plan. Again, if the map I received is correct, which it so far has been, then the armory is just along that corridor there.” Blast indicated to the corridor running off of theirs.

“Then lets go!” Shock whispered urgently but just then there was a loud crackling noise that made everyone jump. Then they realized it was just the loudspeaker above their heads.
“This is Commander Null-1 “Slack”.” The speakers boomed. “Iadsgb and our other leaders have gone on The Desolation to a meeting on Rhen Var at 30-4, 0-0. In their absence, I am in charge. Announcement over.”
Blast looked at Padfoot and could tell they were thinking the same thing. At least they knew where to go next!

Blast to one last quick look into the hall then they all dashed across to the opposite side and down the other corridor.

Once they were safely in the new corridor, Blast pulled out the map and studied it for a couple of seconds then pointed and said “There. The second door along.” And put it back in his pack.

He pulled out his pistols again and slowly moved along the corridor until he came to the armory door. He looked back at the others and Jelli nodded encouragingly.

He took a deep breath then turned and stood in front of the motion sensor that activated the door. They swooshed open and revealed the armory room.

There were weapons everywhere. Detonators stored in crates, rifles hung on racks, blasters in holders on the walls, viroblades in stands and all kinds of others.

“Halt! Place your guns on the floor and put your hands on your heads!” There were two F.I.S. officers in the room and both were clearly not shinies.

One of them gasped as he realized who they had come across. “It’s Blast!” he whispered over his shoulder to his companion.
“Yeah; I reckon we’d get a mighty fine reward if we capture him.”

Two blasts flew at the officers and caught them in the chest as the rest of the squad entered the room.
“Trouble?” Jelli asked looking at the dead officers.
“Not any more.” Blast replied as the doors closed behind them all.

“Right. Everyone grab a bigger gun.” They all moved off around the room checking out the weapons and finding one that was right for them.

Blast wandered over to the machinegun section and picked up various types and weighed them in his hands. He finally stuck with a small semi-automatic one.

He looked around at the others. Jelli was contemplating a pistol like Blast’s own. Vasilious had picked up a huge flame-thrower. Forrel was juggling with three detonators and Hess was still deciding whether to take an EMP launcher or a super-blaster.

Blast smiled as he looked around at his team. Everyone working together for a single goal. It just made him happy. But that happiness was short-lived.

The door swooshed opened and everyone turned to look who it was.
“Hello Blast.” A helmet-less Null 1 “Slack” stood there with a huge double-handed chaingun.

Guns I think, and let me just correct you on some facts. You said you picked up a "small semi-automatic machine gun". "Small" Machine guns are possibly the biggest lead-firing weapons ever made. "Semi-automatic" this means it fires one shot per pull of the trigger or a burst of shots, usually 3 and machine guns are renowned for firing very fast and fully automatic, along with massive magazines. You may want to change it to an assault rifle.
