Ever since I built a futuristic utility truck for Keith Goldman and Brian K's "Zero Hour" monstrosity, I wanted to go back and make some more cars and trucks with that concept, future look (clean lines, opage windows, like a design render but in Lego; not completely finished but enough to get the idea across). However I found it harder than I expected. Here are a few models I built; I intended to do many more, in more colours, but found it very frustrating. I will come back to it!
V8 sports coupe with body kit
Retro-future truck (wanted to build a matching trailer but didn't).
Another V8 which I hated, time to surrender and move onto a fresh theme...
They're all SWEET duder! For some reason, my favorite part of the presentation was when you simply placed a couple of black tiles under the car to give the impression of skid marks... simple and sweet! ~ Chris.
Interesting stuff! I have dabbled in retro-futuristic myself, and I agree that it's not nearly as easy as it looks. Of course, my dabbling is usually disasterous. These, however, are far from it. I like the truck best, I think, but I'll give them all a second look before declaring a favorite.
