One of the designs from the Star Wars saga which has always fascinated me is the Slave I. Oddly enough I have never got any of the official sets (except the small and blocky 7144), so I'm really looking forward buying the upcoming one. Meanwhile, I tried to build my own SPIII version of it and here it is. I must admit I have been looking at pictures of the original sets for size references and inspiration, which you may see. Hope you like it nevertheless...
About this creation
Of course the cockpit rotates along with the flight angle.
Pictures showing the 12 "Freeze" EMP missiles hidden in the hull of the ship.
Here with the rocket bay doors open.
Four pictures showing the loading capacity. Either a surveillance probe or the standard prison pod.
The surveillance probe. Useful for reconnaissance missions or traffic surveillance.
Hmmm....This is original and not original at the same time. It's original because I never thought someone would make a Space Police version of the Slave 1, and not original because it uses the Slave 1's design. I like it, though, and I espescially like the mini version of the thing!
Superb - clean lines!
Cool idea to combine it with the Space Police concept.

I appreciate your comment on my "Fight for Mont'kar" I posted that so long ago. My clones have had a huge revamp. There are quite a fe wthings I need to post.
Your Firespray is Epic. Incredibly accurate, almost to scale and has the right role. Can't wait for the new one ,eh?
Amazing! Most people probably didn't know the Slave 1 was a police ship that Jango stole, but now they know!

Wonderful! And I'm glad people know that Slave I was an experimental Firespray-class fighter. Jango was escaping from a prison planet and couldn't get to his own ship, Jaster's Legacy, so he took one of a dozen Firespray ships. After he was clear of the hanger, he used his new ship's weapon's to destroy the other experiments to avoid immediate pursuit. (If you didn't know it before, you do now :) ) Nice job, man.
Amazing moc. The streamlined edges are perfect, so much better than the slopes lego uses. And a little fun fact: the Slave I was actually a police vehicle before Jango stole it to escape prison. Hmm...

I could easily see the space police using a Firespray.
This is really neat! I searched MOCPages for Firesprays and there were hardly any good quality Firesprays out there! And this is one of the best, if not the best. Love the missile pods! Keep on brickin'!
That is beautiful. I love how you returned the ship to its roots, maybe this is how they all used to look before they were outmoded, and Jango/Boba made it famous.
Oh, and the rotating cocpit is awesome!
Jesus, looks DANGEROUSLY close to the last official one that was released for the classic starwars, around 2005-06. If I didn't know better, I'd say you borrowed one of your buddies' instruction manuals for it and recreated it with bricklinked bricks in those colors >:P
Nice one! You've really converted it well. The build as a whole is nice and clean, and quite well done great work, good sir!
I think it's kind of funny no one's pointed out the Firespray started out as Police ship yet. I think that's one of the reasons the SPIII colors fit rather well with the ship's design. Also, fantastic work on the playbility!
