How to Make a Kama - A Tutorial
This quick tutorial will show you how to turn my digital kama into a real one for your minifig!
About this creation
First off, you'll need a few tools. You'll need a computer and a printer (and a router and a power supply and a keyboard and a mouse and some paper and an ink cartridge and I could just keep going, couldn't I?) as well as scissors and a small hole-puncher.

Go to my kama and right click (sorry macintosh users) the image and select "Copy Image". Yup, I'm using Ubuntu Linux (free download).

Next, go to your word processor (I use Open Office (also free). Paste the image by typing ctrl-v or clicking Edit-Paste. Resize it to the correct size and place as many as you want.

Once you're sure about your document, print it out. (I haven't configured my printer yet on this computer.)

Here is the result of the print. (I have three kamas here.)

First, cut carefully along the outline of the kama. Mine isn't perfect because I was in a rush.

Next, use the hole-puncher to punch out the holes.

IMPORTANT! READ CAREFULLY! Now use the scissors to make cuts exactly half-way between the first and second holes and third and fourth holes. The cuts should extend down half-way.

Now, place the kama onto the mini-figure legs like so.

Fold each side over and fold the outer holes down onto the legs over the inner holes.

Fold the front flaps and attach the rest of the mini-figure, and voila! You've made yourself a quality paper kama!

Great, but I feel there is one flaw to your near perfect plan: the printout isn't cloth, so it's flimsy. What I do is I make my own design, scan it to the computer, print it out, and TRACE it on TREATED cloth with RESIN.

It should be at the printout size. First click on the picture on the page to show the real size, then save it and print.
