Meanwhile back on Rhen Var, The Calm Before the Storm gently touched down on the harbour’s landing platform. Iadsgb, Clift, Callum, Fixer and Stallion walked up to the boarding ramp as it lowered.
The officer Iadsgb had spoken to on the com-link walked up to them and saluted.
“SIR!” he said smartly then added “S.” to the end when he spotted how many high-ranking men were around him.
“Officer…?” Iadsgb asked.
“Black, sir. Officer Black.” The Officer answered.
“Officer Black. I’m glad to see that you got my ship here in one piece.” Iadsgb commented looking behind the man to the cruiser.
“How many troops are on board?” Fixer asked.
“Approx’ 50 sir.” Black replied.
“Very well. Get them to disembark then move the ship to a more secure location.” Iadsgb said and started to walk away.
“YESSIR!” Officer Black saluted sharply then turned and marched back up the boarding ramp into the ship on his mission.
And so a little while later, Iadsgb stood in a large, empty room, addressing the troops. “You are all that is left from our base on Hoth. As of yet we do not know how the U.R.S. got into the base, or how they managed to get around so stealthily.”
Fixer coughed and Iadsgb continued.
“An investigation is underway though into…” Fixer coughed again more ferociously this time and then again and then started in a coughing fit.
Iadsgb looked at him and he pointed to the door whilst still coughing and went outside.
He stepped out onto a large open area that would have once been a terminal before the weather took its toll on the harbour and continued his coughing. He had no idea how it started but went for a stroll to try and rid himself of it… He shouldn’t have.
He looked up and just at that moment, The Manipulator burst into the atmosphere in the distance and headed for them.
He frowned at it then turned and slowly walked back inside.
“There it is.” Blast said, pointing out of the bridge’s front window at the ruined harbour. “Take us out of sight and land down there.”
Blast said to the Captain and a few minutes later, The Manipulator touched down behind a huge cliff on the other side to the harbour.
“Right lets go.” He said to the newly recovered Falcon and they walked from the bridge.
Blast and the other leaders walked down the boarding ramp onto the frozen sea and look around for any sentries. There were none.
“Right, get the troops out. We attack immediately.”
Ten minutes later and every single one of the U.R.S.’s fifty-five troops, four medics and all of the leaders were jogging round the base of the cliff, across the frozen water, round to the ruined harbour and where the F.I.S. were meeting.
Just as it came into view Blast, who was at the front of them, slowed down and signaled for them all to get against the cliff. He looked around at the huge crumbling buildings, searching for any sign of life. He frowned at the lack of it.
Then signaled for his men to follow him and moved further round the cliff face towards the nearest flight of old cracked stone steps into the first building. He crouched down as he climbed the stairs then when he was sure the room they led into was empty stood up and dashed inside.
He looked out of a huge hole in the wall overlooking the rest of the harbour.
“There. That’s where they are.
He said and nodded in the direction of where he had just spotted some F.I.S. troops. But unfortunately as he nodded, the sun bounced off of his helmet and glinted.
“Hey, what’s that?” an F.I.S. sentry frowned at it.
“D’no. Hey hold on; is that a helmet?” his companion asked.
“Yeah. I reckon it is. Alert Iadsgb. The U.R.S. are here.” The first sentry said and the other ran inside the room where they were all meeting.
“Sir.” He whispered to Iadsgb from behind him. Iadsgb stopped talking, turned and leaned close to the sentry to hear. Fixer frowned at them trying to hear what was being said.
. Iadsgb’s eyes widened then he stood up straight again and turned back to the troops.
“O.K. I have just been informed that the U.R.S. have followed us here and are now at the opposite side of the harbour.” He smiled. “Go get ‘em."
Cheers came from the crowd as they all charged from the room out of the two doors and all the missing chunks of wall.
Iadsgb grabbed Fixer by the shoulder as he went to leave.
“Why didn’t you tell me they were here?”
“What?” Fixer was confused.
“You went outside, you must have seen them.” Iadsgb growled at him.
“No… I…I saw a ship entering the atmosphere but I didn’t realize it was a U.R.S. ship.”
Fixer tried to pull away from his master who kept his grip firm and glared into his eyes trying to read him, find out if he was lying. But Iadsgb then decided that his fellow leader must be telling the truth and let him go. Fixer rammed on his helmet and dashed from the room after everyone else leaving Iadsgb alone.
He reached down to his belt and pulled a huge, jagged virosword from a scabbard there. He had fetched it from on board The Calm Before the Storm earlier.
He turned it round and admired it glinting in the light, then sheathed it and stalked away.
BUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT? FIND OUT IN PART 13! COMING FRIDAY 11TH JUNE!

Ok then I'll just join the FIS. I'll still be in the series, which is good.
Yes. I'm sorry you can;t become a member of the U.R.S.. You seem to be exactly the sort of person I was after when I was recruiting. It's a shame but yes, ask Iadsgb and then if he lets you in, either tell me what your sig-fig would look like or give me your favourite colour and let me be creative.

OK thanks. No chance of joining the URS?
Sorry but I have stopped recruiting. After being betrayed by Fixer, I'm not letting anyone else in, but Iadsgb is still recruiting. Finn C-Q is trying to do the same as you. (Not that I'm trying to promote the F.I.S. of course!)
