It's been a while... But, now that I'm back from Maui, I'll show you something else that hasn't came in a while. A pirate ship, Man o' War in fact. This ship is very similar to my last one. The Ampsterdam, but it is in my opinion way cooler. It's got more shape and cleaner colors plus some extra goodies for you.
About this creation
We'll start with an overview shot. This ship has the most rigging of any I have ever made and though it doesn't have them on, it has sails to go with it. They distract from the lines of the ship I think though, so I removed them for the pictures
In this side shot you can see all of the guns, on one side though. The 8 heavy guns on the bottom are more than enough to blow apart any comparable ship and the top ones are to help board it.
Figurehead view here. We've got a very fancy and ornate figurehead with a mermaid and two nights beside her.
Front view of this Man O' War. Quite a tall ship...
another figurehead view. You can see the bow chaser guns. Nice and shapely just like the figurehead.
A nice view of the hull from the front. Same design here, but I think it does look better.
A view of the hull from the stern. Gotta love that butt-shot.
The stern of this ship is super detailed and gilded. I packed as much gold in here as I could.
I kind of feel like this boat should have a bumper sticker... Maybe something like "Move you're sorry arse" or "Come hither and be blown to smither-eens".
Another view of the craftsmenship of the stern. My craftsmenship
Here we have the first of a series of images showing off the action on deck.
ok... So right in the middle of taking pictures, the randomest gust of wind ever came. It brought the sheet that I was using as a backround right down on the ship commpletely destroying the rigging and one side of the hull. Here's the damage...
So after running around my backyard and exhausting my considerable knowledge of swear words. I did what any lego addict would do. I decided to rebuild it...
I also decided to take pictures, making it the WIP that never was.
Now you can see the masterpiece coming together.
And you know what comes next so goodbye till next time.
P.S. My next MOC will involve cars.
Nicely done, that cabin is awesome, great job on detail, I suggest you add some brown bricks (plates) near the front and back hull to make it look less blocky on those spots, for the rest the ship has a good shape and nice colors, great job
