Episode One begins with The Awakened's first glimpse of the nuclear earth.
About this creation

My eyes opened to a world of bleak skies and scarred earth.

"Where am I? Who am I? What I am doing here?"

All I can see are rolling hills of ashes. "Wait, what is this?"

"Good, at least I got something. But, what do I need a gun for anyway? In this landscape, nothing could possibly live and move."

I looked over and saw a skeleton, wearing a certain protective winter hood. And there is another one lying next to him. I glanced over to his hands, noticing that it is gripping on an object. "A note, perhaps?"

It is written in a different language, something I have never seen before. "Strange... But I'm going to hold on to this."

I just noticed behind me a railroad track...

"Maybe I can follow it... hopefully find out what is going... find other people..."

"At least something is moving other than me..."

A looked back up and noticed old ruins, buildings crumbling...

"It seems that... someone is here..."

"Wait... somebody has been here before..."

I walked through the entrance, noticing another skeleton, however, this one is surrounded by fresh blood...

I entered the "town", investigating...

"Keep out? Yep... I am not the only one alive on this planet..."

"Helloo? Anyone here?"

A voice responded, "Who are you? Where are you from?"

I looked up and noticed a man standing on the planks of the second floor.

"Are you... actually here?" I was astonished to actually see another person.

"Sounds like you've been away from others for a long time, mister... My name is Specs."

Another voice pierced the misty air, right behind my back, "And your name is?"

"I... don't know what my name is... I don't remember..."

"Interesting," the women stated, "... anyway, I am Kommandante Steele..."

The other man that approached with her began to speak, "And I am Corporal Ryler... and including the two soldiers, we are The Union Resistance... to protect the innocent from the non-innocent..."

The Kommandante interrupted, "So, what are you doing here?"

"Well, I woke up and just followed some tracks, and I came across this place..."

Steele pointed up to the second floor, "And now you know that you are not alone..."

"Well, you can tour the place, just don't do anything stupid cause my guys here will end your life before you can say 'Sorry'."

I stepped into the building, first noticing a drink machine, fully operational. In the next room, approaching me, was a kid, about 14 years old, "Hey, mister, I saw you come in, well, my... my name is Billy, and..." He saw that I took noticed of the drink machine, "Oh, yeah, we scavenged some missing parts and made it work again, do you want some?"

"No thanks, kid..."

I walked into the other romm and climbed up the ladder, to meet with the man up there.

"Hello, there," the man stated.

"My name is Walter... what's yours?"

"I don't have a name... anyay, what do you do around here, i mean, anything you take care of?"

Walter responded, "Well, I am actually a Professor, and I usually take care of communications..."

"... and basically try getting contact with others out there in the Deadlands..."

I could hear the Kommandante's voice, "New guy, come over here!"

I stepped back out onto the streets where everyone was gathering around the dune buggy.

"Okay, new guy, we have been trying to fix the car, but it hasn't been working, do you know to do this stuff?"

"Well, not really..."

A loud blaring noise sounded, and the clock on the building shook. I lloked up and noticed that it was some sort of an alarm.

Steele shouted over the alarm, "New guy, I hope you know how to shoot that gun cause we are about to be attacked!"

Great storytelling, I especially like how inquisitive the Awakened is. The set is actually very good, which is surprising for a comic. Most of my comic sets are a little scrawny because I try to make them to quickly. My only gripe is that the colors are little to distracting, such as the yellow in the jeep and the dark red sign thing. Can't wait for the next installment!

Quoting Heath Murphy Nice! How many lamps do you have on that studio? It looks kind of dim... 5/5
Well, it's actually pretty bright in the room...but i didn't want the pics to be bright, I wanted them to be darker and "gritty"
