Where as the Arkham serves as General Infantry, the AEGAKS-108-MRd "Titan" serves as Squad Support and Suppressive Fire Specialist.
About this creation

The AEGAKS-108-MRd "Titan" was specifically designed to counter the threat of mass attacks by large numbers of small attackers. The Titan was specifically designed for Takeshi's battle profile and tactics. As such, it is much more heavily armored than the 102, and designed to take a lot of punishment.

Instead of the thruster pack featured on the 102, the 108 features the new Suppressive Assault Weapon pack. The SAW pack, or wings of death, as many SPA infantry came to call it, hinged the weapons on the back of the 108 rather like wings, and they slide foreward under the arms for devastating effect.

The SAW pack consists of the right mounted Gatling Gun, and the left mounted Shotcannon, a weapon similar to an oversized combat shotgun. The servo assembly allows for some side to side movement, allowing the barrels to track sideways to some degree.

The weapons fold very neatly under the arms and the arms can wield other hand held weapons such as the Machine Pistol seen here. Theoretically, the Titan can weild four weapons at once.

The Titan can mount a forearm shield, just like the 102. Care must be used, however, when operated the Shotcannon, so as to not blast it off the arm.

As with nearly all AEGAKS, the pilot block and the powercell are ejectable. Note the heavier armor used on the pilot block, and the head unit.

A close up of Takeshi in his pilot block.

Frontal comparison of the 108 and the 102.

Back comparison of the 108 and the 102. The servos that operate the thruster pack and the SAW pack use the same nueral link point, so a pilot can switch easily between the two using the Neural Trace.
Creator's Notes and Bonus Photos.

What?! You all knew this was going to happen. Yes all of you. Even you in the back. Yes you, the one trying to look innocent. You knew most of all.
The 108 is directly inpired by the original Blade Titan, one of the best stock models to ever be produced, in my opinion at least.

"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! It's the MASH MONSTER!"
Oh, dear, the mash monster got to the 103 and 105 this time.

I love how you put all of these items in the back-round. Anyway, I love your hole AEGAKS series, and this is on exception. |

Actually, the 107 was built by my good friend, Luiz Camargo. He's a fantastic builder and you can see his 107 right here: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/215706 |

they look cool but what i dont like is how the exoforce joints on the shoulders show.
That's true, but often to achieve flexiblity, one has to sacrifice protection. Anything I could add to cover those joints would detract from the inherent flexiblity that I intended for the AEGAKS line. These mecha are designed for mobility. |

Vey good Mecha! But, in my humble opinion, the big guns must be on the shoulders, but not under them. |

I noticed that, but then you have to consider aspects like weight and balance, not to mention recoil when the weapon is fired. The SAW pack does not actual mount to the shoulder, rather it mounts directly to the back of the torso, making it more balanced. |

Very nice! I like how the SAW rotates forward. I can definitely see how this would be Takeshi's combat machine. One of these days, I'm really going to have to do something with the Pilot Block I built. |
