At the beginning of the war, a decision was made by UFS HICOMM to standardize vehicles to facilitate large mass production and simplicity. GPMRV (General Purpose Multi-Role Vehicle) is a term applied to roughly dozen different vehicles built on the same chassis, cab, engine, and base.
Of all of the numerous GPMRV variants, the -H (hardtop) variant is the most common one to be found at the front. The hardtop attachment was the second most produced "mission module" , behind the Cargo version. The Hardtop variant is for the troops a light APC, similar in armor protection to the ever-popular M113. However, if the Hardtop had one flaw, it was its sheer lack of frontal protection for the two man crew, the driver and the 12.7mm (.50cal) Remotely Operated Heavy Machine Gun Operator, were only protected by basic ballistic glass and some steel.
This would was the same story for all of the variants produced, until 2019, when all frontal areas received the Advanced Survival Kit (ASK) which included heavily armored ballistic glass and extra steel plating. It is rumored that when the top Generals of the UFS visit the front, they use a specially modified GPMRV-ASK with Depleted Uranium armor for extra armor.
The GPMRV family, and especially the Hardtop, have a long future ahead of them in service with the UFS.

The Predator gets its name from the lethal ATGM it carries- the LGM-2 Predator missile. A 12.7mm machine gun is also carried. The missile is highly advanced, and can punch through all but the most advanced ERA and composite armor.
