Final Effort! DIVINE Buster! (Vignette/Bignette)
With no other viable options, the MAS Division plays their final card to defeat a powerful enemy.
About this creation
A powerful enemy has appeared over the city. The MAS units cannot even get close to it without risking destruction, rendering the Gravity Driver and G-Shock Hammer useless. The enemy's powerful defenses even shrug off blasts from the EMPASS Rifle. With no other choice and no authorization to use an N2-ARMED, the MAS Division turns to their final weapon: the prototype DIVINE Buster (Defensive Initiative to Veritably and Immediately Neutralize Enemies; Buster-type weapon).

The Mikana.ZX prepares the DIVINE Buster for firing, situating it on top of an overturned truck. The Hub.ZX assumes a defensive stance to protect the Mikana and the Buster, wielding a large shield and the EMPASS rifle (for cover fire).

Can our heroes defeat this unseen and unimaginably powerful foe?

Although I'm not one to typically do this, I think this song kind of fits the tone of the bignette.

The DIVINE Buster, otherwise known as the EMPASS Rifle's big sister (albeit the Buster is a pure energy weapon). It's longer than most MAS units are tall and it packs a punch.

An overturned truck hauling a shipment of semi-toxic Megablokium. A shockwave knocked it over as it was about to round a corner. Moments after overturning, a police car smashed into it.

In war, there are casualities. Sadly, the truck driver was one of them. As for the policemen, they survived.

The Buster's detachable two-point-mount monopod.

Hub wielding a shield composed of the same material as the MAS units' armor. It can even be polarized to increase its defensive capabilities. The shield is a prototype, like the Buster.

Better shot of the shield.

Creator's Notes
Thought I'd try something a little different for once.

I was trying to use some of those white engine parts --remnants of a half-cannibalized X-Wing-- and ended up making a giant cannon. I then proceeded to make it as big as I conceivably could. The result was the behemoth in this bignette. I originally was going to call it the "LOTUS Buster" but failed to make a good acronym for it. My second choice was "FINAL Buster" (Final Initiative to Neutralize Attacking Lifeforms). Eventually I thought I'd make it an homage to Takamachi Nanoha and named it the DIVINE Buster.

The shield was just something quick and dirty built after my bignette idea reminded me of the Ramiel battle from Evangelion. Somewhat ironic, the positions in this bignette are reversed, with the male pilot shielding and the female pilot firing the cannon.

I'm thinking about uploading a second MOC that focuses solely on the DIVINE Buster and elaborates on it more. Anybody in favor of seeing more of the big beauty? ;P

As for what's next on my to-make list, I'm thinking of making another MAS unit (either MAS-002 or MAS-AT-001)

Lovely dio! The shoop da whoop cannon is huge! Surely it reminds Evangelion battle. EPIC!

Nice scene! That's one crazy blaster. Too bad about the truck driver...Was he wearing a red shirt?
