These are really old, but I thought I would post them anyway. These are SOTL(Ships Of The Line) for the ESC Security Forces.
About this creation
Ships Of The Line is a term that refers to Capital ships, often implying that these ships maintain fleet configuration formations in combat.
These ships were loosely inspired by Homeworld, one of the best rts games ever devised.
A Flagship detachment. The Flagship is the nerve center for the task fleets that the ESC Security Forces employ to maintain their territory.
A Flagship detachment consists of a Flagship class destroyer, which mounts no primary cannon, 2 cruisers, 4 tender frigates, which are used for repairs, and 4 combat frigates.
Destroyer Detachments are the backbone of the ESC Fleets. Without these heavily armed vessels, the fleet would not be able to function against any real threat. Destroyers are built around a huge Beam Accelerator Cannon. The cannon fires a beam strong enough to penetrate shields and armor in a single shot, but the ship itself must be aimed like a giant gun, which means making shots count.
A Destroyer detachment consists of 2 destroyers, 2 crusiers, and 4 combat frigates.
Carrier detachments are very versatile and extremely good at supporting fleet actions, though most can not take direct combat action.
A Carrier detachment consists of 2 ARTCS carriers, which each carry 6 space capable ARTCS, and one Fighter Carrier, which carries four fighter squadrons(6 fighters to a squadron) and 2 bomber wings (3 bombers each) for a total of 30 craft.
A typical taskfleet consists of 1 Flagship detachment, 1 Carrier detachment, and 3 Destroyer detachment. The fleet is organized into detachments for rapid reassignment and integration needs necesary for flexible combat situations.
