About this creation
Inspired by (I assume) Brian Williams' great 1930s buildings at Brickworld, I wanted to try my hand the style.

The idea was a pop-up book; not one that actually popped up, but more like a building on an open book.

Looking at it now, I'm not sure how much the book really adds to the whole thing, but it took so freaking long to make, it should at least be in the shot.

It's also wider than anything I've done, and it doesn't even fit in my usual backdrops. Disregard the little red spaceman in the corner.

Excellent building design! The book does in fact add to the overall impression of a popup book. Outstanding bit of work.

The building is very skillfully made. I like the multi-colored sidewalk and the feeling of reality and depth by the bricks lying down there. When I first saw the book, I wondered why you put your building on a blank book. Then I realized that it was a pop-up, and the book was brick-built. I'm very impressed with it. Anything that looks real to me at first glance gets a thumbs up from me.

This is really impressive! I really like the tiling used on the floor of the building. The book looks impressive but doesn't add too much to the scene.
