Subtle improvements to the Raven fighter, with a cleaned-up front wing grey areas, enlarged rear wing surface area and color-coding, and the addition of booster packs aft of the canopy.
About this creation
This current upgrade bridges the gap between the Raven's space and atmospheric compromise, and finally allows it be perform both as a space and air superiority fighter. With a cleaned up profile, and larger wing area and dual booster/weapon packs, the Raven Mk2 would simplify air-force and space-force logistics and broaden its mission scope.
Test pilot Johnny reluctantly steps away from the Raven Mk2 after his maiden flight and hands the keys back to the 2 nerdy ACME flight engineers who will take it for a further shakedown. "Don't forget to bring her back with a tank full of gas!"
If only we had this piece of machinery during the last "police action" on the floating colonies of Rigel 6, we could have ended that "incident" a lot quicker...mused Johnny to himself. He had personally lost too many buddies on that mission while flying out-dated fighter craft against enemy forces.

I'm not going to lie here... I very much miss the fold-out wings.
heh heh, you know, I've been agonising over the wings too. On one hand, I wanted this futuristic look without trying to appear too conventional and current-tech (ie wings) but yes, I do agree that wings still make it more aircraft-like. Cheers :)
