I created this display for our LEGO club's younger members and was able to display it at both our Spring Extravaganza and one of our school events. The text details how to care for your LEGO bricks. I also included a demonstration of how LEGO brick separators work.
About this creation

From left to right: a brick that was written on, a lance that was stepped on, a brick that was horribly chewed, a brick badly stained from sun damage, and a minifig head that has the face drawn on with a marker and a fireman's hat that has been gnawed on. Unfortunately, these are only a small sampling of the many mutilated, broken, and now useless pieces that I've found over the years.
In response to a request as to what the papers say, I have provided the following photos. I apologize that the pictures are not clearer. If anyone is really interested, contact me, and I can email you the text.

It's always so painful to put a piece of Lego in the bin... |

*sigh* Alas, I feel your pain. I'm a garage sale junky and my heart breaks a little with each tragic discovery...I found one that looked like a piranha had used it as a teething toy! Nice presentation.~H |

awwww those poor lego bricks.. but nice presentation... did you find those broken bricks or you broke them on purpose to make this presentation?
Perish the thought! I could never willingly harm a helpless little LEGO. Unfortunately, there are enough bricks around that have been ill used that I had no problem finding examples for my presentation. |

Nice! Can you include..... peed on? (That happened to me. Please don't ask how it happened.) And can you give us as to what the papers say? |

Hmmm, I break about 3-4 of those rules, but hey everything is fine for me, I find it much easier to break them, like putting them on the floor, good recommendations, just doesn't work for me. |

I have posted close-up photos of the papers. If you can't make out the words and are still interested, I can email you the text. And while I'm sure there is a good story there, I will not ask about your urine-soaked LEGO bricks. :) |

Yes, a wonderful presentation. It was really impressive to see how the kids responded to this display too. They were very interested in proper care and had LOTS of their own stories of their pieces being chewed, stepped on, vaccuumed, etc. You did a wonderful job on this. Always glad to have you helping our group with stuff like this :) |
