Darth Maul with LED lightsaber
About this creation
Sorry for the crappy photo on Maul and Talon.

This creation was actually given to Ray Park during the last Comic Con here in Phoenix. :)

Other versions I have since created have had the saber painted so there is no bleed-through of the LED.

Dude that is awesome! I like playing around with LEDs but I never could do something like that! Btw, do you use surface-mount LEDs?

This is great! Would you mind sharing more about how you made it? For example, what size battery (has to be small to fit into the torso)? What size LED (I'm looking at one I have laying around and it seems way to big... must be different sizes)? How did you get the wire to run from the torso to the hand (I took a couple of minifigs apart and the arms do not seem to be hollow all the way through... and the hands are definitely not hollow). Would love to try to make one if you don't mind letting us know how you did it. Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide!

There are two LED's in the saber handle with wires going up his arm into the torso. Newer versions of the fig have painted lightsabers to prevent LED bleeding.
