MarsCorp VTOL Scout
The MarsCorp VTOL scout aircraft is used for extensive monitoring of atmospheric conditions and terraforming progress on Mars. Some situations require a closer look than satellites can provide and a human intelligence that autonomous atmospheric drones do not have. The VTOL scout fills that niche. This is version 0.9, which is piloted by a light aircraft pilot with VTOL certification. The readings from the extensive sensor cluster are transmitted back to a monitoring station where scientists interpret the data in real-time and request adjustments in the flightplan if something is of interest. Subsequent versions will have provision for a science officer, making the VTOL capabilities most useful for landing at remote sampling sites.
About this creation

This is version 1.0. The cargo box has been replaced with a science officer. The fuselage has been lengthened by 1 stud. A computer has been added for the science officer to review data from the sensor cluster.

I recently used this wing design for a spy transport, no date on posting yet. I also am considering the posibility of a competition over a base (please no head starts).

This is great! I have a question: What exactly are the MarsCorp trying to do?

Really like the steampunk look of this one. The bulby thing is also a nice addition.
