This is the Prototype of the Mk. 1 Assault Walker Bot, manufactured by the Sea and Land department of SASL. (Sea.Air.Space.Land) It's taken me a few weeks to build because of the complexity of the legs. Here it is, the first one of the assembly line. I am working on a couple versions of it, varying from Life Support, to Salvage Bot, to War bot, and maybe a Police version.
About this creation
This is the front of the War Bot, lets call him......'George'.
A rear view. Yes, those are some massive guns he's got there. Thanks for asking. You'll get a close-up in a sec.
His side. Notice how bulky he is. Most of that is armor, since he is a combat bot. The whole purpose of this robot is to cut back on the human casualties in war. He can go in and fight the battle, being controlled by an experienced video game player, (like a UAV or Global Hawk) back in the U.S. or Britain or whatever countries buy these things. No, I'm not serious.

These are a few views of the miniguns. the first pic is a view of the whole back, just to get an idea of how big they are. The second pic is the guns in the 'Down' position. And the third pic is the guns in the 'Up and Firing' position.
The legs and feet. OK, here is the fun part. The legs are what delayed the building process. I just couldn't figure out how to make them sturdy, yet flexible and bendible. Then I remembered that I had the V-19 Torrent set and it had the air pistons parts on it, so i ripped that appart, fitted the pistons on the legs, and PERFECT!!! They are very sturdy, and can extend to twice their normal length, as you'll see in the pics at the end of this post.
Next, are the feet. They are tracked, for quick movement and getting over obsticals. The tracks can lock and retract and the feet can be used to walk on, like a terminator or something. It's pretty cool.
The head of George. I couldn't figure out how to make it look scary and cool at the same time...then I came up with this design and I loved it. The eyes are the red glowing pieces on the upper reigon. The contain Thermal, Night, and normal visions. Now is where it gets complex. The entire front of his face is one system. He breaths air through the vent peice on the front of his head. Those binocular pieces are Carbon Monoxide censors, which also can sense radiation, and other poisons. If any of these are detected, the mouth shuts and it breathes oxygen through the tubes on its head, connected to tanks in the body. There is enough oxygen for up to 2 hours in low oxygen conditions. This enables the Bot to go into radioactive, low oxygen, and under water conditions. Pretty complex.
