Hello fellow MOCcers! I present to you one of my personal favorite creations: the Honda Fit Japan Grand Touring Car (JGTC)! It's quite a mouthful... Anyways, I built this MOC quite some time back, but haven't posted until now due to it's difficulty to photograph. But I pulled through on this latest attempt and finally got it up :) The FIt was supposed to be an '08, but it turned out looking more like an '06. The car features all the realistic race car details: a bodykit, tow hooks, multiple air intakes, a stripped interior, an antenna, and much more.
You might think why the heck a Honda Fit!? Those don't race in the JGTC... That I am aware of, but I really wanted to build a car the represented me as a builder and as a person. I love the Fit, I love JGTC, and I have a strange interest in white cars with black rims. In a way, this is my dream car :)
Here's that 360º video that I attach to each of my big cars. Helps you to get a better sense of the model.
Side view. Where the rear window pillars end is where the Fit used to end... Until body kits :D
Rear angle. The higher back end is characteristic among race cars.
Close up shot of the front. It's not uncommon for touring cars to have yellow headlights.
Rear detail. Notice the chrome refill tubes.
Side exhaust, for less back compression :)
That gaping ARC grille, compared to a real one. Stickers are custom.
The front and rear tow hooks. For crashes, ya know...
Rear spoiler consists of dismembered Snowspeeder braking flaps :D
Here's a little shot of the side that shows how the car is thinner in the middle and wider around the fenders.
A nifty little hood scoop.
Here's how I built it. Just stumbled upon this technique while fiddling around.
The interior is very raw, very unfriendly, like real touring cars.
Here's the dash. If you can see, look for the little pedals under the steering wheel.
Here's the seat, which I'm quite proud of. Very bucket-like, and it even has restraints going across. And that blue box is water for the driver.
Dax, you have put so much work into this MOC. It really has just too many details to see in just one visit. You have packed so many little details into the inside and outside. Magnificent. Regards, Eric.
Always nice to see you post another 10-wide! For me, the coolest part of this one is all the crazy body work, and you've also done an excellent job with the interior. (LOVE the seat and pedals) I certainly hope you'll keep the 10-wides coming!
sick now you should build it into a dirt rally car i would like to know if u could make instructions for it its easy take a pisture as you take on brick of then flip the footage to make it look like you built it insted of taking it apart . e-mail me @ firstname.lastname@example.org i would like to make a red brookline motors rally car i will give all credit to you none to my self exept for tuning it ok i hope we can also stay on touch thank you !
