This is the third Enterprise starship. It was only seen in Star Trek Generations. It is a variant of the Excelsior class starship with extra sensor pods on either side of the deflector dish and an expanded impulse engine/shuttlebay block on the saucer. I made a rendering in MLCad because I wanted to know how to build it again. However, I have changed the colours from a mix of white, black and greys to light grey, with turquoise in the same places as the real ship. I have also completely changed the nacelles so they look more like the real thing (trans-blue and more circular).
This model isn't very playable. As the nacelles are bulky and heavy, and connected by relatively small pylons, a bit of balacing is required when displaying it, but it still has a noticeable sag in the nacelles. I don't think too much of that can be fixed. Oh well.
I like your model. It uses 2 of my fav. things. As for your support problems you can use some clear plastic were you see it sagging. That will help you out on that. Now can you send the instructions to build it and were to find this at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Wow! That is excellent! I only have one fault:
It's the Enterprise-B/Lakota version. (Never liked the extra stuff they added in Generations.)
Yet, it does not affect how much I like this model.
It even inspired me to try my hand at my own Excelsior-class starship.
I like it. This is the first Excelsior class lego starship I've seen, and It's about time. The warp drives seem a little to edgy but otherwise the rest is good. The colors are cool too. Overall five out of five
