A-4 Dragonfly
the Heinan Aeronautics Group's A-4 Muzawaratonbo Zeppelin-Defense Fighter
About this creation
with the rise of air-piracy in the late 1930s, the Imperial Japanese Zeppelin Corps contracted with the Heinan Aeronautics group to provide a zep-launched support fighter to protect imperial air assets. the result was the A-4 Muzawaratonbo (Dragonfly). armed with 4 50. caliber cannon, and 6 rocket hardpoints, as well as 2 torpedo hardpoints, the Muzawaratonbo excelled at it's duty, and remained in service with the imperial Zeppelin Corps for many years.

Builder's Notes: after Mark Sandlin unveiled his Crimson Skies MOCs, I felt the urge to design some of my own. of course, I'd also never designed a propeller-driven aircraft, either. this has actually been complete for over a week, but I wanted to put retractable landing gear on it before I unveiled it... sadly, I couldn't figure out some working retracts for it, so this one is sitting on a sled used to launch it from the factory. once it's airborne, it can't land again, unless one of these sleds is flown up to the zeppelin and bolted to the plane. apart from that, though, I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.
