So, this is my city that I was going to complete. I'm sorry, but I SWEAR THAT ONE DAY THIS CITY WILL BE MADE! I've saved all of the buildings for future rebuilding of the City. I'm sorry, for disappointing those who looked forward to this. I just see more possibility in that baseplate. I need that baseplate. Which is why I'm destroying my city. IT would have been my best creation to date I bet if I had finished it. Until later, here are the pics before it was destroyed.....: (

Wow, my first bit of advice to you is to start following through with things, especially when you made it THAT far. Not only was Yuri's idea great for a quick finish, it opens up a whole aspect that your mini didn't have. Unless you have some other masterpiece you're working on, why not revisit this? You obviously have a knack for it, there are some great details in there! Stay REAL, mi amigo.~H
You know, I was kind of making a master piece in a way. I wanted to put a huge lake on a green baseplate, that I would attach to the main grey one. It would have been really huge. I think I'm going to revisit this as my one year anniversary build.... we'll see. |

I feel though, if I had done so, that it would have had that slapped together look. I wanted to make the entire city and at the moment, I didn't want to do that. To tell the truth, lost interest in it and therefore blew it up. |

So much potential... You were almost there man and you quit... grrr. For what you DID do, it was nicely done. I still think you should have forged on and finished. Sure that baseplate could be used for other things BUT... they could have waited. I found out the hard way that abandoning a WIP is a mistake. My fortress of Solitude WIP made MOTD and everyone was like... "So Chris, when ya gonna finish?" Yeah... But like I said, for what you did, this was some up and coming, decent work! Keep building those skills kid! ~ Chris.
What's funny is that I've done nothing with the Base plate since. *Facepalm* |

If you had just covered the bare plate in blue, you could have said it was the sea and lo! It would have been complete.
I had no idea so many liked this MOC. Thanks for the comment. |
