The Indian scientists whipped up this puppy as an intermediate step whilst they come up with a viable airframe for a strategic bomber. The missile is scheduled to be supplied to the NV-3 Stealth cruisers. It can also be launched from land platforms. This is for my Indian nation in the 21st Century Group.
About this creation
The 'X,' as it is referred to, has a small engine and uses its large wing surface to glide to the target. Minimal thrust is used, mainly during its climb to stratospheric heights, and then again as it angles down for final approach. It powers up to over Mach 1.5 to diminish chances of interception.
It is equipped with two flares and one canister of chaff for missile countermeasures.
Mounted with anything from napalm to daisycutting warheads to Multiple Release Assault Package (MRAP) for increased area-of-effect, this weapon is rather potent. It also has a range of about 500km.
Guidance technology is still rather primitive, but reasonably accurate. It could hit an airstrip, but probably not a small bunker. Factories and ports are top hits for this beast.
A sweet little missile you got there. It's simple and effective. The poor schmucks on the receiving end of this won't even know what hit them! Stuff like this would be great addition to the S.I.D.'s line.
