MCV-1 Mecca-Class Sumbarine
Mini Nuclear Sumbarine for the U.A.C Navy
About this creation
The MCV-1 is a waterjet-powered Nuclear Submarine armed with guided anti-ship torpedoes and a single pop-out turret for close-rage encounters. The torpedoes are housed in streamlined weapon bays mounted on the sides of the sub's main frame. (The protrusions on the stern of the MCV-1 are intakes for the waterjet engine.) The water-jet engines provide much more speed than conventional prop engines, but also require more maintenance. The large rudder configuration slows down acceleration, but once the MCV-1 reaches full speed, the large rudder gives it an outstanding turn radius, making it difficult to pursue. It's streamlined shape gives it almost impossible to detect on sonar, making the MCV-1 ideal for hit-and-run attacks. A total of twelve MCV-1s have been ordered by the UAC Military.

some pikchurz... This isn't at all a complex or interesting design. It's just to fill a gap in my Navy. For a complex design, please check out the AH-1 Black Falcon. Anywho, submarine photos...
