NOTE: All of this started out on a boring rainy day with this, then after a short while it became this, after a while it became this, and finally, here we are! But it isn't done yet...
I am back! :D With updates!
The Engineer's Log 2.
My robot's shell and inner mechanics are complete. According to my calculations, the robot should be fully functional. If it passes the tests, I will begin covering the robot with a layer of armor and give it weapons, as well as a targeting system.
Begin test 1.
Launching software... done.
Testing energy generator... generator functioning at 96.3%, with a core temperature of 167 C.
Testing movement systems... all systems fully functional.
Connecting mind control wires to user...
Running "Stand_up" program...
Motors reaching critical temperature...
Deactivating motor to prevent permanent damage...
Looks like I still have a lot of work to do.
Yeah, I've finally finished him, although the torso was made in a bit of a hurry. Even though he doesn't have any overloading motors to stop him from standing up, he still can't for two reasons:
1. Not enough pistons, especially for the legs, which bend if I try to make him stand.
2. Even though each separate lego piece doesn't bend much, but when you have a bunch of them in a row, the whole thing starts to bend a little... causing my creation to fall.
I won't be able to work on him until next summer, since he and all of my other parts are in my summer home, and I won't be visiting it until next summer(duh).
But here is an closer look.
It bends almost exactly like a real foot does.
The four pistons on EACH leg aren't enough to keep them from bending under his weight... if I managed to keep him from falling because of his bending. -_-
The pelvis. Yes, I know it needs to be made better. But I just don't have enough pistons!
The legs as a whole.
One leg bent.
How the hand bends.
The elbow bending.
Arm fully bent.
The rib cage.
Side of the head.
Me standing next to him. He is NOT lifted above the ground, I am just holding him to prevent him from falling. I haven't had a chance to measure him, but I am approximately 170 cm, so he should be about 160 cm. Unless I am mistaken, that, technically, makes him the biggest bionicle on MOCpages, but obviously it doesn't count until I can make him stand.
