Fictional world on a cold planet. Bradburian or Orwelian utopia, where books are forbidden and cyborg enforcers stalk the streets.
About this creation
This is my entry for the FLI fictional world contest.
On the snowy world of Bethel advanced humans live in an utopian society. High rise sky scrapers stretch towards the twin moons as streams of aircars speeders, and other air traffic speed through the crisp air and neon lighted tunnels through the buildings. On the minus side so do the enforcers of the tyrannical government. These enforcers are heavily armed cyborgs: robots that use a human in stasis to increase their computing ability. It is rumored that criminals who are caught are used as processors in new robots, so being a criminal is a very very hazardous profession indeed. One criminal activity (which you can see in the scene) is possessing or reading books. Legos are also outlawed, as they induce creativity into the populace.
The scene is meant to be that of part of a sky scraper, near the top. The beams at the top are supposed to give it a cut away look...
Book smugglers outside by the giant fan.
They seem to have a little collection hidden behind the paneling.
Here is the domicile of some guy who seems to be rather tired. This room features a washbasin, oven, shelves, table, folding bed, etc.
An enforcer cyborg.
Same with different angle.
One of my favorite things you can see here is the light on the far side of the tunnel that is made of a orange trans head, a miniature racer's torso, and a knight's helmet. Can you tell?
