I thought for a bit of fun for our younger viewers, (although i suspect a few AFOL will take a mild interest & hopefully participation) a competition slightly differing from the norm. Well three competitions actually.
About this creation
Spot the Difference:
Study the photographs above featuring "Gentleman Jim" in orange and his brother Keith! (yellow) A number of differences are present between Jim and Keith, can you spot them? Some of them are obvious, eg. different colour, some more subtle, eg. different part, missing part, and some fiendishly difficult. (Knowledge of lego required) However Its possible to discern them from just these four images. ( the only clue i'm willing to provide is there are 25 plus)
Whats in the boot?
Study the photo of the empty boot, below the four photos for Spot the difference cpmp, (cavernous isn't it?) when i took the photograph i placed a further lego element in the boot. Can you guess what it might be? (Again the only clue i'm giving you is that despite its name it will not help you with the other two competitions.) I am aware there are literally thousands of Lego elements that may fit the space.
How many Pieces?
Again from studying the photographs can you determine how many pieces make up the JIM model. (Your clue for this is, "I haven't a clue!", but during design i noticed some hidden voids mainly in the chassis. I've filled some wiith, "spare parts" eg. mirrors. The only time i will truly know is when Jim (or if you are really lucky, both Jim & Keith do the "The Full Monty" at the conclusion of the competition.
Please read before entering.
1.The competiton will run for a number of days. It will end on Oct 8 th 2010. at NOON GMT
2.ONE entry per person please.
3.Please enter in the following way, somewhere in the body of your "comments" text insert on two seperate lines
ON LINE 1 Insert Gentleman Jim Triple competition
ON LINE 2 Insert :STD:26 WITB: "Headlight brick" HMP:321
(STD = Spot the Difference etc)
4.Please DO NOT list the differences you have found it spoils others enjoyment and negates you from winning a prize.
5.At the conclusion of the competition I will post the photos revealing the differences, whats in the boot, and The Full Monty suite too.
6.The best bit and most important, The prizes: I will provide the winners with a prize. The prizes will be as follows: Building Instructions!
(format as yet undecided, but likely LDD)
Spot the difference winner:The person to correctly identify all the differences, (if there are multiple correct entries then the prize winner will be determined by drawing of names).
Whats in the boot winner: The person to accurately predict what I placed in the boot. Again if there are multiple correct predictions the prize winner will be determined by drawing of names.
How many pieces winner: The person who accurately predicts how many pieces make up the model. If no one predicts exactly how many pieces, it will be awarded to the person closest to the How many pieces final total. And again in the event of a tie, drawing of names will take place.
7.MY DECISION IS FINAL. This is meant to be a bit of fun. Please lets keep it civilised folks.

Does that help?
