Hi! This is my HillClimber, built for mission09: The Summit Challenge (found at


Numbers in red:
1:motor module 1
2:motor module 2
3:motor module 3
4:motor module 4
5:weight on the top

Numbers in blue:
1:light sensor
2:touch sensor1
3:touch sensor2
Here's how it works:

1)The whole robot is driven by the six wheels(only on the ground)attached to motor module one.

2)It continues towards the "hill" until the touch sensor 1 is pressed, then it stops.

3)Now it is the motor module 2 which pushes up the "scissors" (I don't know the name in English) by a gear ratio of 114 to 1, so it has to lift up the whole robot! (=1.5kg)

4)The third step is repeated until the touch sensor gets touched, after it stops.

5)Now the part with the motor module 3 lifts itself onto the "hill", it gets a good grip on the box, and by the same turning direction of the motor it lifts the other (bigger) part of the robot on the top of the part which is already on the box. (this is done at the same time as the motor module two pulls up the "scissors")

6)Now the robot is on top, but it has to get down. Now it's motor module 4 with the treads goes forward.

7)It continues until the light sensor sees the edge of the box.

8)With a use of a differentiel gear, the robot can turn left by going the other way.

9)It continues until it reaches the side of the box again (the same side as where the light sensor detected the edge). When it has reached the edge it stops.

10)Now the first 5 steps are repeated but in the inverse order and in the other direction.

11)The robot has succesfully reached the finish line.

Wow, that's amazing. It's incredible what one can come up withusing only plastic bricks. The reason I gave you a four instead of a five, is because of the continuity. One thing that makes a great MOC is the color scheme. Which you clearly do not have. I do though, realise that you may not have the most pieces, or the amount you'd like, but maybe that's something you could work on. Have a variety of colors to choose from. Anyways, it's still very good. Great job.
