8098 Clone Turbo Tank Set Review
I've just bought the new 8098 Clone Turbo Tank set so while I was building it I decided to make a set review and so... Here it is! Please comment, rate and enjoy!
About this creation

Well as you can see, I ordered it from because I was £10.00 cheaper than everywhere else! And this is the enormous box it arrived in.

And this is the set itself.

When you open the lip, this is the sight you see. Don't you just get all exited! haha

Here are all the bags spread out. Once again the instruction booklet is split into two separate books.

And so after a few couple of happy hours building, you get this beauty. Isn't it amazing! That small pile of bricks on the left are the spares. Either that or I've missed a few along the way somewhere!!

These are the awesome figures. The brand-new Cad Bane who I personally think is a great figure. The breathing apparatus piece is very cool. The Exclusive Aayla Secura is also very cool. I expected the headpiece to be made of rubber like Plo Koon's and such but it isn't. It's proper plastic! Then you have two clone troops, Anakin and Ahsoka.

This is just a better look at the tank itself.

The front opens up and this is the cockpit. It's quite spacious inside.

This is the handle that lifts up for easy playability. Also just in front of it is the flick-fire cannon.

Here is a clone sitting in the rear turret. It's actually a very well designed turret I think.

The rear hatch (Insert joke, or um... here! =D )Opens up ('Ey 'ey! haha.) so that you can seat 2 more people.

There is a hidden storage compartment in the side and this shows me opening it to reveal...

The gun rack!

The left side of the tank opens up to reveal the walker attached to the side using a very clever technique.

And here is the walker stood next to a clone.

Then the right side opens up and shows the command centre attached to it.

And this is the command centre with he clone stood with it.

Now here is a better look at the 'independent suspension' on the wheels. Basically the middle axle is on springs that let it lean from side to side. But more about that later.

Here is a front on view of the tank. As you can see it is standing up perfectly well...

Now watch as I apply pressure to the right side. It leans over on the springs and the other wheels turn out of the way so that it can lean properly. And look!...

The other side does exactly the same!

So overall. My ratings are...

  • Price: 8/10

  • Figures: 9/10

  • Pieces: 8/10

  • Playability: 10/10!

  • Overall: 35/40!!!

  • So basically in my opinion, this is a very good set! I'm not sure it's worth it's £99.99 price tag but seems how I bought it for £89.99, that is a bit better. I still don't really think it's worth even that, perhaps £79.99 would be better. But anyway,
I hoped this proved useful for people. I'm now off to build a scene using this! Bye for now!

Why have I not commented on this set yet? How are you supposed to know? What will I have for dinner tonight? All good questions that I don't yet know the answer to. One question I CAN answer; Do I want this set? YES!
