This is my first real building built into a MOC. This is one of the nicest houses in Alkmaar. It was built in 1707, maybe even earlier, but the front is from 1707. This building is called the "Leeuwenburg".
About this creation
This is the "Leeuwenburg", a Dutch Golden Age building. My first attempt at rebuilding a real structure.
A shot at the front, just like the real building, slightly yellowed.
The building next to my Greek restaurant.
The real building, nothing LEGOŽ in here...
This is the top of the front, the thing on the left is a lion, showing his ass to the city arms of Alkmaar. This was done because the builder had an argument with the city, and showed disrespect.
Alkmaars city arms, simplified drastically...
The side of the building, nothing really special.
Now some pics of the building, shot from my window
The door of the building.
A picture of the front against severe backlight.
A peek through the door. It is a design furniture shop. I think the shop owner is gay...
The shop's interior.
The same as the previous pic, but then with the first floor on top of it.
The furniture, handmade and really expensive, and I mean REALLY expensive!
A design lamp, only one in the whole wide world.
The two floors without the front. The first floor is the workshop, in real life an apartment.
The worker with his workbench.
Another pic of the worker...
How the "Leeuwenburg" is situated in the city, between St Brick's church and Greek restaurant "Irodion".
