If you look at any fire department, there will almost always be a truck with a ladder. In this case, this is instead an even bigger ladder; a tower ladder. This is the Mitford County Fire Department's 2009 Pierce Arrow XT Mid-Mount Tower Ladder and serves in Station 2 along with Tower 9.
Tower 6 is one of the MCFD's more specialized rigs. Since Mitford has some tall buildings, it was only smart to buy a mid-mount. Tower 6 can reach a great height, which is used to get the firefighters to the blaze above. The bucket can hold two people and is equipped with a water nozzle which is perfect for put out the fires that a regular water stream can't reach. It also carries a portable oxygen tank. It is equipped with a red/yellow Whelen Liberty lightbar and an EQ2B siren.
