Ok, this is my first technic model ive made. It started as the 8291 'dirt bike' i got for christmas 2009. It had been built up on my on my desk until about a week ago when after being inspired by the work of Angka Utama i tried to build my own alternative model to this set. I tried, but failed, as im not good at making technic. So i went online and found virtual instructions for this chopper. I do love this bike, i much prefer it to the main dirt bike, it just looks so much cooler! The bike still has most of the technic functions found on the dirt bike (suspension, chain drive and working engine) Some of the parts on the instructions i had lost so i had to improvise in some places. This means that when the wheels move the chain doent go round (which is disapointing) Here is the front view, the pics a bit blurry. Sorry.
So there it is, credit goes to Angka for inspiring me to do an alternative model.
For me, building a Technic model at this scale(even with instruction) is an achievement in itself. But I have to agree with Ape Fight, this is not an MOC(even though you have to make up the missing pieces). All I can suggest is make a significant improvement to differentiate this model over the original.
