After long nights and several bricklink orders I'm back, With a series of World War 2 era vehicles.
About this creation
I have been pretty inactive on MOC pages over the summer, The reason for this is that I've been working and helping the folks over at monitogo studios with the lego stop motion Zathan and Nathan. After reorganizing my lego collection I set out to design and build the most realistic ww2 era models out there. So here is the forth, the M2 Half-Track!
Fender, fender, fender. . . One of the hardest and one of the most important parts (in my opinion) in ww2 vehicles, but if you get it right, it's all-for the most part-down hill from there. I was pretty reluctant when I started on this model, the fenders and the grill (in particular) I was nervous about the most, and well they speak for themselves.
The dimensions for the M2 are about 26 studs long, 8 studs wide and 10 studs tall, not including the MG.
Top view with door open.
The M2 can fit 8 GIs 1 driver, 1 gunner and 6 passengers.
A special thanks to Monica for the awesome photos!!
Well that's all for now. Next up, the BIG announcement... So stay tuned!
I really like it. Would you tell me what Lego part you used for the small wheels along the bottom of the track? I am trying to build an army amphibious "weasel" and I am looking for a similar part. Thanks.
It goes without saying that the front is masterful. And I don't see anything wanting with the rest of it either. Seriously dude, if you have enough parts, there is a shortage of epic, large, dioramas (at least of your skill level).
