Scorpion: powerful tank of the UNSC, but also very attractive
About this creation
==EDITED== You know what? Screw the new thing! I'm just going to update the pictures and that's it! It's too much work coming up with more dialogue to type up on things you already spent a lot of time here you go. Enjoy already!!!

Here's what it would look like if some Grunt on an overpassing Scarab fell through the maintenance hatch in the belly of the Scarab and was looking downwards as he fell. It looks pretty nice from up here. I tried to pack as much detail into this Scorpion, because I had just started to master LDD after a few years of really crappy stuff.

Here's ye old "profile render" like on Halopedia. Again, the detail I needed to fit was phenomenally difficult to achieve. I especially like how the turret came out, though: the curve in the front is just right.

Showing the head and the front tread of the Scorpion. Like in the game, I tried to texture the two different sides of the body: the one with the cockpit is angles upwards more than the one with the turret. Also notable are the details on the walkable area of the tread, the slope in the front, and the head itself. I can also fit a minifig inside: YES!!!

The back of the Scorpion, and proof that the cannon actually rotates. Trust me, I've seen some models that didn't have the cannon rotate, and what a mistake that was. I did sort of get lazy on detail here at the back.

Close up of the secondary machine gun, which can only be manned by a gunner who has his legs chopped off. Well, in my model that is. You also see some horrible greeble-like stuff and again the sloping of both halves of the body.

Here's a sort-of closeup on the back tread, trying vaguely to show you how the wheels were built with Technic-Lego beams.

Here's a close up of the whole body of the cannon apparatus. I even added that clueless plate thingy, like in the game on the same side. You can sort of see how I textured the cannon. You can also vaguely see where the top opens for a minifig to enter the cannon body.

Yes, now you are staring down the barrel of the really powerful cannon, which is exactly why I ended my entry here...because you won't be seeing anything else.

Be sure to check out my other LDD creations!

Does the gunner turret spin? And if it doesn't can I modify it a little?
