The Aeolus is a Mandatory Arbitration scout VTOL made in LDD its small size and high speed make it the perfectly cheap scouting craft of the future. can anyone guess what the name "Aeolus" comes from?
About this creation

main pic, no title: the aeolus is a scout vtol.

back shot: lightly armed and equipped for recon, the Aeolus is equipped with two vf550 thrusters and two vf475 thrusters for flight. the hatch pictured at middle is the armored fuel hatch.

front left: the Aeolus is equipped with a variety of sensors, including thermal and night-vision. armament on the Aeolus is very light, it has only two "tornado" missiles and a small chin mounted autocannon.

bottom right: the Aeolus is also equipped with a state-of-the art ground topography scanner, very useful for mapping and/or finding enemy locations.

left middle: here we see the carrying/storage bars, as well as the pair of comm antennae.
we can also see the rather appropriately sized tail fin as well as a pair of "whirlwind" countermeasure pods, so named for their ability to make missiles swerve and lose control like a leaf in a hurricane.

fun facts: the Aeolus started as an anti air cannon design, but i then realized that it looked more like a spaceship, and so ended up with this.
it has a cruising speed of 175 mph, and can reach speeds of 245 mph
The Aeolus also uses the standard fuel for aerial MA vehicles: liquefied clone.

As always, please comment and check out my other MOCs.
