My entry for Dem Bones' Haunted Halloween Contest. Category: Gore Halloween Vig. I wish I took pictures of all the crates I stuck inside the dark area of the warehouse.
About this creation
=====OUTPOST THETA 4 C.A.F. (Catron Age Four) 3256=====

Captain: Hurry with those crates! Chief wants them all taken care of by 2:00 sharp!

Black-haired soldier: Whew, this is a heavy one.

Black-haired soldier: Oh, well, guess I cou-!

Black-haired soldier: Holy crap! What was that?
Captain: Judas! Stop fooling and get the job done!

Judas: Weird...I could've sworn that there was something there.

Judas: Whatever. Probably just dreaming again.

Judas: Ack! There it goes again!

Judas: Stop dreaming, Judas, you know you can do it...

Judas: Argh!

Jill: Whoa, that was weird. Wonder where Judas went.

Jill: Oh, my gosh! Save me! *Crashes*

Captain: It will not be long before it finds us all and devours us...

Captain: There is no escape...farewell, I say.
=====BONUS PICTURES=====

The ruined warehouse without any figures and without the big monster. This was really fun to make.

The monster that I had a blast building. It started a little bigger than minifigure size, and it's head was like half the size of it's body, and that looked weird. So I gave these three huge jaws of yellow teeth, so of course I had to make the rest of his body. This is the result: a TECHNIC/System combo. Well, what do you expect?! With half my collection being TECHNIC and me only have 10,000 pieces, this is the best I could do! Did I say that I took off his legs so that it would look like he was bursting out of the ground?

8x8, unless you forgot your glasses. It is connected to the main diorama with a 2x2 turntable. I used colorful bricks to conserve my gray, which I needed. On second thought, I probably could've used gray anyway...

To prove that it only sits on this 8x8 block. I thought I might get a bunch more ratings if I added a hidden feature, so here you go. The hidden feature? Being a top, of course. Might help me with the judges' ratings. Man, how I wish I took pictures of this top spinning...

Fantastic! The beast is amazing, I especially like the jaws and the arms. The warehouse looks excellent, and I also like the photos of it when the monster destroys it. One question though, what was the grey-headed bald guy? Did he transform into the beast? Still, great work!
I'm not really sure what the grey thing was, now that I look at it. Sometimes I'll have spasms and write/create really random things. |

Crazy violence! It's hard not to like. Especially the giant yellow flesh rending bill on the monster. Good pics. Lots of light, and good focus. Attack! |

4,3,4= 11 points. I'm with Heath on this one. Vigs should be frozen in time, But the build itself was pretty good. |

The build is pretty decent here Justin. What I don't like (besides the massive abuse of the 8X8 rule) is the fact that your vig doesn't speak for itself without you moving figs, parts, etc. Think of a Vig as a picture, or snap shot. There shouldn't be any changes taking place. Originality is a 4, presentation is a 3, and overall build is a 3 for a total of 10. Good luck with the other judges!!!
Thanks for the tip with Vignettes. |

It is a nice entry, but I am a bit confused how the monster is not touching the ground. |

Nice vig, but again, massive abuse of the 8x8 rule, I will have to be clearer on that in the future I guess. Good luck with the judges |

Good, although I'm not a fan of that monster, and the story was a little confusing. Otherwise, a very good build, VERY good pics, very good presentation. 4/5 |
