-Legonia: The Ancient West
Where civilization ends, a beautiful refuge guards over godly powers.
About this creation

Far in the west, aside the last borders of human civilization, where cruel males are fighting their senseless wars, an isolated human culture had found its refuge. These wild lands between high cliffs, deep forests and the dangerous coasts of Endsea are holding many forgotten ruins but it’s also the world of strong females. Welcome to the amazon lands...

As beautiful as ark’tohlian love slaves but as strong and rigid as northern warriors, the amazon warriors are equipped with dangerous axes and daggers, most of the white riders had trained an unicorn, who is died out in most other parts of Legonia.

Along the sides of the western peninsula, those strong fortresses related to elven architecture, are the biggest refuges and guards of civilization. The high stone walls are lovely decorated with ornaments but also very robust to attacks.

This set was build in a modular system and can be used as city wall, too.

The inner sides are well used for different playable features.

Along the river Shal'ahs'erin'a (elvish: stream of godly innocence) the amazon people settled long time ago. Scholars assume their origin in the north legonian culture, which later mixed up with elven influence. But over the time, the biology lightly changed, so that woman became bigger and stronger and men weaker. The term “amazon” only refers to the females because males are not worth to be mentioned by a special term. Different than in other human cultures, the amazon lands are ruled under a strict matriarchy. While women are soldiers, teachers and politicans, men are living in poor settlements as simple workers or slaves.

The amazon fortresses are massive builds located on interesting viewpoints to observe visitors from the southern or eastern forests. They can hold long sieges...

...but equipped with heavy catapults they’re superior to most neighboured races like Nu’chunk tribes.

The gate.

The prison area is reserved for uninvited guests or palace servants who disobeyed their mistresses.

A trapdoor directs intruders directly to the prison.

The other side has a second exit of the castle.

A small path along the waterfall cliff is used for quick escape in case of attacks.

The side walls of the courtyard is often used to present statues of the amazon gods. Like their culture, the mythology is a clean dualism. The amazones also believes in the big something as first force but their two main gods are Vendra and Arkando. Vendra is presented as strong and beautiful woman and often with a jade snake. Her attributes are all positive aspects like strength, honour, love, etc. .

Arkando is the only male god and mainly whorshipped by males. His images show him as tiny, weak man, often as old ugly one with beard and dark clothes. He stands for weakness, egoism, betrayal and most negative things.
In amazon mythology, Arkando and Vendra fought the demongods, but Arkando was too weak and got heavy injured. Vendra beatened the demongods and cared for him. But when he was healed again, he betrayed her in an affair with a mortal female. It was the only time, Vendra lost a tear filled with immense power. The tear of vendra.

The amazon ruler is Queen Asuria. She only gets foreign visitors rarely. And of course only female ambassadors are sent from other kingdoms. Asuria is head of the military and civil law council and also the head priestress of the amazon temple of Vendra.

Asuria’s chamber. The bed is filled eith hippogryph feathers.

It’s said that the tear of vendra, a powerful crystal globe and worthful artifact belongs to Asuria’s royal treasure. But its existence is just a myth.

The other tower holds Asuria’s beauty saloon.

Asuria’s private palace with harem, guard and headmistress minifigures. It owns her throne, a prison cage and a vendra statue.

Under the statue a secret place is hidden.

The headmistress is one of the most important persons after the queen because she guards over the royal harem and is also the highest teacher of the vendra temples. Her job is to care for the newborn males and also for the princesses.
Ordinary daughters are staying at their mothers and get good education, fight training and a lot of love. Later they will inherit the mother's job or choose an own place in amazon society. The males don't give any respect to a family and are sold to Vendra temples and their mistresses, which feed and train all boys until they're prepared to be good husbands. The temple costs are payed by selling the adult men to lonely women. Once married, a husband is private poverty of his wife. Some lucky guys are able to win their women's love and gain an ordinary fair life at home, other just end as slaves. Those, who aren't interesting for women leave the temple societies and live in outer settlements where they work in ore mines and other industries. Though supplied with food and shelter, they end as outsiders and would never get any woman. The amazon lands don't know the word emanzipation and while all men are trained and educated to their rule as second-class human, nobody really cares to fight for a change. Time by time, ther're stories of amazones leaving their homeland and joining other cultures. For these dominant women integration is hard but a few find their luck in male-ruled kingdoms.

Outside their homeland, some amazones are travelling through other kingdoms. These are discriminative to men but accept the different cultures partly. Main transport vehicle are these small boats.

But behind the border, dark menaces are sighted recently. From the hain of druids and Outlaw hills, Lupians are flocking together.

Deep in the woods, the circle of druids has allied to invade the amazon lands and steal vendra’s tear. This artifact would give them immense magical power, which they certainly plan to use for egoistic goals. Nobody really knows something about the druids but they seem to controll most lupians and other magical creatures.

A typical druid cottage with druids, a lupian and curcuit dryadis plant.

Much space for a small hut.

The design can be also used for orcish houses e.g. for the female shamane.

Unknown dangers await in the druid’s forest. And the lupian tribes around the giant trees aren’t the worst.

What nobody sees, is that the druids are experts in nature magic and controll their environment perfectly.

Including giant tree elementals...

...Beware of the ents!

A border watch tower of the amazones are under attack!

The slave has to be punished because he didn’t warn his wife earlier.

To the south, the swamps of Shuzzu marks the real end of civilization. The biggest everglade in Legonia is an untravelaible wilderness. Not its real expanse, its lifeforms and plants, not even the origin of its name is remembered by the legonian people. All that's known is that the druids of the west are the last intelligent people reached the edges of the untouched landscape and even they are fearing the dark of the endless mist.

The strongholds are heavy and the amazones powerful but will they stand against the powerful magic of the druids?

You have loads of creativity! I fear I have copied your hanging bridge design, unintentionally... Instead of using (spiderman?) ropes, I did it with flexible pins though... Great work!
