VW Beetle made in LDD designer. i have made one in real bricks in yellow color, check it out here http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=449305
i m tearing down the real life model to free the bricks for further moc, and because of that i put it down in LDD file to save the building instructions.
played with the colours and made it white(i even like this colour more than the yellow version). unfortunately i currently don t have so many white bricks to build this in real life.
About this creation
front view. two coloured paint job actually works very well to held define the shape of wheel arches, it sepereates their line stronger than it would be with the same colour.
side view. the moc has a sense of generel Beetle shape. here it s no so visible but the front is one plate height lower to get a dynamic feel for the car.
rear view. at first i thought to make the rear design from plates, just like it s seen in lots of other Beetle mocs but during the building i run out of avaiable yellow plates so had to figure out something else. put the slopes sideways and it looked good.
the interior. packed some neat looking orange leather seats in here. the front seats are collapsible to allow the passengers get in the rear seat. the front panel is austere just like in the real bug.
view from top. i m a fan of the studs out looks
and one more general view. the bug is on it s way to make it s driver smile :)
Thanks for watching.

I was building the model in LDD and with real bricks at the same time. only in the real model I did not have all bricks in the right color or not even all bricks so I fixed the color scheme and missing bricks in LDD.

This is wonderful. I really like the shape of this one, it must not have been easy to create this in LDD. 5/5
