Sparrowhawk: what's the point of the hornet if you got these?
About this creation
Well, if ANY of you saw my Wraith or my homepage, you would have seen what I have in store for all of you lovely viewers. And, keeping to promise, I have finished one of many Halo Wars aircraft, the Sparrowhawk, and I am working on the Cobra as promised.

So here's your, let's say, frigate view of the Hawk. From here it seems like a really weird face, but that's how it's supposed to look and it's almost totally to scale. Plus, from here it looks like the cockpit is cool.

Now HERE is where the cockpit looks stupid. Like on the Hornet, the cockpit on the Hawk is so tremendously bulbous and unruly for the sleek and curved Hawk. This picture, nevertheless, is my absolute favorite. Doesn't it look like it's going to blow up the Vampire or Banshee in front of it with those giant rockets and heavy guns?

Here's the side view, which makes the cockpit look even MORE stupid! GAAAHHH! I need therapy. Anyway, aside my issues, the Hawk is a wee too long here. Or so it looks. I especially like how the back turned out.

Here I opened the cockpit to show the side thruster, the interior, and the missing chain gun underneath. I'm using the same technique on my Warthogs for the turret, so you can see at the bottom right the pieces used to make it.

Here's another shot showing the interior and part of the back. Nothing too bad here.

I made sure to put a picture of my turbine here. it does rotate to show directional force like it should, but the mechanisms are slightly flawed so it takes longer. This becomes my Part of Mixed feelings. You notice that on the other side, farthest from the body, the hook is bent to "latch" inside the groove I made, but unfortunately it didn't work. Adding more to the distress, angling it so that it might connect to the actual wing was, in my case, impossible. But I have issues, right :P? So if you have an idea, send it over or post it in a comment.

Here's a shot of this time both rotors, and the back. I used some green leafy goodness to simulate some texture, and the palm tree certainly did work, but the others I sort of mehhed. You might also see the crack running towards the bottom: that was to show that the two parts were unconnected. You'll see how it can stand on its own later. Still beautiful :D

Here is a rather poorly taken shot of the back, which looks like a smooth slope. It actually isn't, you'll see how in a moment. I do think the tail fins were a big success.

Here's a goofy shot of the weapons and rockets, but I took this pic mainly to show what's the grey stuff there. I used three black rods and placed 1x1 clips upside down on them. This is how the upper wing stays stable and how the crack shown before means no harm. Plus, the spaces between allowed me to place robot hands in the middle, which connect to my weapons. Genius!!!

Because the previous picture was so horrible, I had to put up another for my fans.

Oh, I forgot to show you that the front guns ROTATE!!! The previous guns do too.

So there you have it! My reactions on this one were mainly positive. But maybe that's because the picture 2 (the picture of facing the whole thing head on) is SO GOOD!!!

Not if you look in the Halo Encyclopedia. While most call it hawk, sparrowhawk is its formal name.
