(This scene takes place just after the fall of the empire.)
With Han Solo helping the rebels, the galaxy is missing one of the best smugglers around. This gives other lowlifes the chance to raise their reputation. Rork Levart is just one of those lowlifes. Rork is the captain of The Iron Maelstrom and smuggler extraordinaire. The Iron Maelstrom isn't quite as fast as the Falcon but it certainly isn't slow. She is crewed by three humans and a modified assassin droid named CC-37. Like Solo, Rork also has bounty hunters tailing him wherever he goes. These bounty hunters are usually hired by Jabba the Hutt or by remaining high ranking imperial officers. Rork does most of his business with the rebels. He helps them get supplies through imperial blockades that are still floating around the galaxy.
About this creation
The Iron Maelstrom.
And her crew (from left to right), Cargo manager Jack Ramec, Captain Rork Levart, Modified Assassin droid CC-37, and mechanic Olga Stravic.
Just a quick cargo container that I threw together.
All the figs shown in the moc. I've got everything from welding droids to bounty hunters, and rebels to Solo. Hell, I even included Bossk, IG-88, and Dengar! I would have added Fett but I'm pretty sure he'd still be stuck in the Sarlacc pit at this point.
Just so you all know, this is not from any expanded universe books or movies or TV shows or comics. It's just my geeky imagination going to town! Hope you liked it!
After a few people over on flickr pointed out the "unfinished" looking rear end, I dug through my collection and added a bunch of greebly bits! It looks much better now!
For first, sorry for bad english.
about the ship, it would be a pleasure and a honour to see it with my eyes, about the plot, if the empire is fallen, jabba the hutt is dead :D
see you and thanks for sharing
You ARE still alive! There was talk that the innuendoers had you being held captive, as leverage to use in an extortion scheme against the Canadian government involving maple syrup, vinegar-drenched french fries, and flannel shirts.? I don't know. This is great stuff. The ship, as always, is remarkable in its own right but I REALLY liked the greebly wall and the cargo box.
Quoting El Barto !
Great set up here! Are we seeing a new series?
I never thought about doing a series with this... I might try that. Thanks! The whole thing was built around the crew of the ship. I had those figs sitting around for a couple month, and I really want to build a ship for them. So, I built the ship and I thought the hanger bay would be cool, so I built that too. I love it when ideas grow like this!

Stunning, both the hangar and the ship. Shame that there aren't more pictures of the interior of the ship however. Also, I didn't think thre were actually THAT many figs in this as well!
Every single fig that is in the last picture is in this moc. Some are hiding ;)
Wow, what can I say except that I think this is beautiful? The most awesomeness is that you tried and succeeded in creating a background that is looking very industrial and the material expression is so cool. The steel like background and the studs make it look very science fiction-like and so hightech...respect to you!
Love it! I just finished reading Dark Force Rising (A Timothy Zahn novel; post episode VI) and I'm totally in the mood for 'between-the-lines' Star Wars stuff. Is this from your brain, or a book? Either way, great stuff. Both the ship and the dio are top-notch. I really like the front of the ship - that big, plain window is just right for the ship. Also, the dio is amazing - very moody, spacey, sci-fi-ie. The mixture of the grays on the ship is cool, as well as the choice of yellow lights on the dio. Overall, nice job, Jason!
Jason, this is a great MOC. The design of the ship is clean and clunky at the same time. The pod cover you used for the front windscreen is perfect for the role. Great use of color to give it that really "used" look. Regards, Eric.
